Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular smart-pole system intended to consolidate lighting, connectivity, sensing and other site services into one vertical piece of infrastructure. The company says the updated platform responds to a familiar pressure in public spaces: as municipalities, campuses and commercial developers add cameras, sensors, Wi-Fi and charging equipment, they need to expand functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost.

SHUFFLE is designed around a single pole that can stack Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging capabilities. Landscape Forms says the system is easy to activate and install, while modular components allow customization and future adaptability. The integrated approach is also meant to bring modern aesthetics and operational efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments.

Configuration through a new build tool

Landscape Forms has simplified specification with a new build feature on its website. Clients can identify preferred camera and technology brands and select from a range of options within each category. That configuration process is central to the relaunch: rather than treating each pole-mounted device as a separate addition, SHUFFLE is presented as an adaptable system that can be specified for different sites and updated as requirements change.

“This is the solution site designers have been waiting for,” said Shannon Lee, business development manager for smart poles at Schréder. She said SHUFFLE was designed to fit busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as a site’s needs evolve. Safety and connectivity, she added, are integrated without dominating the outdoor space, with accessibility and ease of use in mind.

Plug-and-play feature updates

The relaunch includes new feature options designed for plug-and-play simplicity. These include a 360-degree area light, a decorative light ring, a 180-degree area light, quad-view and 180-degree cameras, motion sensors, and loudspeaker and intercom modules. The combination allows the pole to serve lighting, camera, sensing and communications roles, while the modular design supports specialized environments as well as general public spaces.

Where the system is intended to fit

Landscape Forms positions SHUFFLE for locations where people gather to work, travel, study and recreate. The company lists university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals among the settings where multi-use adaptability and robust communications could be useful to site managers balancing a range of requirements.

Jordan Agustin, president of lighting at Landscape Forms, said SHUFFLE represents the kind of thinking the industry needs, with technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He said the new features and capabilities enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company’s mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
